Simon Mignolet 7
A little nervous at first with the ball at his feet but quickly found his bearings. A solid stop prevented Gotze from scoring in the first half before saving even better in the second half to keep Wolf and Pherai out.
Nathaniel Clyne 5
He fell asleep for the first goal and was surprised several times. It's not his best evening job, even though he's getting better with time.
Joel Matip 6
Head wide early but a little slow to react in the preparation of Dortmund first. Otherwise solid.

Joe Gomez 7
A good defensive header erased a promising opening as Dortmund insisted for a second. Looks good.
Ybader Larouci 6
In front of Sancho, did not disgrace himself and was a volunteer runner. However, booked for a foul on Brandt and his mistake prompted the third Dortmund.
Fabinho 8
Clever in possession, some clbad touches. He did not mess with his tackle. Decent.
James Milner 6
Lots of runners and was still trying to get Liverpool moving. Demonstrated his engine by making waves everywhere in the sweltering heat.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain 7
Made an impressive midfield break in the first half, but was sometimes disappointed by a sloppy cast. He blinks, he returns to his best, however.
Harry Wilson 7
I took a painful shot at the Hummels, a shot saved by Hitz and a skillful equalizer. Has grown in confidence accordingly.
Divock Origi 6
Did not receive much service and was forced to fend for large pieces alone.
Ryan Kent 6
A bit of a mixed bag. Refused an equalizer by a good Hitz rescuer but guilty of over-crafting on occasion. The intelligent manikin helped configure the equalizer.
