The Premier League title race is set to take on more twists and turns this week as Liverpool host Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.
The two best in the Premier League go head to head in a tantalizing game which should have a significant impact on the race to be crowned Premier League champions.
The intrigue is further reinforced by the fact that United and Manchester City are in action this midweek to play their games at Liverpool.
If United beat Burnley at Turf Moore, they enter Sunday’s critical clash with a three-point lead at the top of the table, while Pep Guardiola’s men will be one point behind Liverpool if they beat Brighton and still have played one game less.

All in all, it’s a relatively nice matchup, with six games against teams in the bottom half of the table.

Manchester City have arguably the best streak from all three sides, with six from the bottom half to face.
The matches against Liverpool and Tottenham in early February stand out, but if City can continue to build momentum against easier opposition, they will head to that double with full confidence.
City have been playing catch-up all season, due to inconsistent form and late games, but they’re finally looking to be in great shape.
Verdict
Overall, Manchester City appear to have the best games to come, compared to United and Liverpool.
The reigning Premier League champions are probably having the hardest part and their recent drop in form came at the wrong time with United and City starting to hit their stride.
Sunday’s clash between United and Liverpool will be crucial, as will City’s trip to Anfield on February 6.
