Everything is ready for a vigil at the Air Force Officers’ Mess in Accra in honor of the late Jerry John Rawlings.
Earlier on Sunday, January 24, a Catholic Requiem Mass was held for the statesman as part of four-day funeral rites.
The vigil is expected to be attended by Mr. Rawlings’ family, government officials, dignitaries and other dignitaries.
The former president left behind a wife, former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang-Rawlings, and four children.
