Officials from the Irish National Lottery revealed that the winning ticket, valued at € 209,809, had been sold at a Cork City store.

A lucky bettor won big in the Saturday night draw after pairing five numbers plus the bonus ball.

The winner purchased a Quick Pick ticket from JJ O Driscoll's Superstore on Ballinlough Road.

The shop owner, Neil O 'Driscoll, is absolutely delighted with this news and he said: "We are absolutely on the moon!

"We have received the very important call from the National Lottery this morning and I think we are still a bit shocked – God only knows how lucky our client feels, it's just great!

"We are a lucky lotto store for our customers.

"We had already sold two winning Lotto tickets in 1991 and 1992, so we had another big win!

"We are going to start the festivities in the store this morning and we are inviting anyone in the corner to enter the store to check these tickets, which could be worth more than € 200,000."

Unfortunately, the main price of 7.5 million euros has not been claimed, which means that the first prize on Wednesday will be estimated at 8 million euros.

The winning numbers that were drawn were 04, 29, 30, 33, 40, 42 and the bonus was 41.

Make sure to check your tickets because you could be the lucky winner!
