Maura had planned to team up with Tommy

More than 700 complaints about Maura repeatedly trying to kiss Tommy on Love Island will not be investigated by the spread of the Ofcom watchdog.

In total, 709 viewers complained that Maura Higgins "badually harbaded" Tommy Fury by trying to kiss him several times last month, the regulator said.

Tommy resisted, moving her face away from her as he lay on the couch.

Ofcom said that the incident, aired on June 14, did not violate the "generally accepted standards" of television.

"While we recognize that many viewers disapproved of a competitor's behavior in this episode, we took into account the context in which it occurred, including the nature of Maura's relationship with Tommy. , before and after, "said a spokeswoman.

However, Ofcom still reflects on the possibility of investigating the show over other controversial moments. At least 300 people complained about Lucie Donlan's treatment by fellow comrades in June.

ITV announced that two couples would be evicted from Villa Love Island in the Monday episode.

The first eliminated couple will be the one that gets the least votes from the public, while the remaining candidates will choose the other couple to give the kickoff.

Last year, more than 2,600 complaints were filed regarding the treatment of Dani Dyer.
