Island of love star Mike Thalbaditis died at the age of 26. His management team confirmed his death on Friday.

No cause of death has yet been revealed.

Thalbaditis participated in the third season of British reality TV in 2017, where he became known as "Muggy Mike". He also appeared on Celebrities Go Dating a year later in 2018.

according to The GuardianThalbaditis was a semi-professional footballer who played in teams such as Chelmsford City F.C. and St. Albans City F.C. The London-born athlete seemed to entertain friendships with many of his Island of love co-stars, who cried the loss on social media Saturday.

Johnny Mitchell, one of his Island of love friends, have posted a long tribute on Instagram.

"I really can not believe what I see here," Mitchell wrote, accompanied by a photo of the two friends smiling. "My boy from the villa and one of my best friends in the series coming out.An absolute hero, a legend and a person I have admired since I met him, always full so much positivity and charisma … "

Mitchell added, "One of the best people I know who has been taken far too early, I'm sorry and I can not say with words how much I will miss you, brother!"

Island of love Host Caroline Flack nicknamed him a "total gentleman" in his article about him on Instagram. Rachel Fenton, another competitor, tweeted, "I'm lost for words, my heart breaks for your family."
