Love Island USA will be "less hot" than the British show while the boss reveals significant differences

Love Island is finally making its way across the Atlantic, with an American version about to come out on the screens.

Eleven singles will travel to Fiji in the South Pacific to enjoy the sun and, hopefully, find love.

Although on the outside, it looks a lot like the ITV2 show, even when it comes to on-screen graphics, there are big differences between what the American public will appreciate and the UK version.

David Eilenberg, President and CEO of ITV America, has spoken with The Hollywood Reporter. It is clear that there will be some censorship and "softened" swimwear as the show is launched during prime time in the United States – on CBS at 8 pm.

Here are the main differences between Love Island USA and the version appreciated in the United Kingdom …

Swimsuit & Hazard

There is a good chance that the swimsuit will not be as "revealing" as the outfits worn in the Love Island villa.

Eilenberg explains: "Of course, we will comply with the broadcast standards.We are at 8 o'clock on a large broadcaster."

He did not rule out that it would be released if the show took off.

Eilenberg revealed: "That said, even though the British series has evolved, it has evolved further towards a general entertainment audience."

Watch your words

The more censorship will come if the language starts to become a little fruity and that there is a lot of effort.

Eilenberg said: "The biggest difference of all will probably be language-related because we will have well-defined obligations that the UK simply does not have.

"I do not think it will make a huge difference in terms of experience.

"But for the fans of the series, it will probably be remarkable because the British version does not require censorship in the same way."

The host and the voiceover

Love Island USA will be the domain of actress and actress Ariella Vandenberg.

She is not as well known in the United States as Caroline Flack is in the UK, but it seems like Ariella will double hosting with voiceover.

This is a new concept (ish) for Americans and producers still do not know if the audience will be eager to make their voices heard as the action unfolds.

Eilenberg said: "We are using the voiceover, which we are very pleased to see CBS commit to, because we think it's part of the British series, but is not a very popular device in the US .

"There will certainly be some differences, some of these differences will not only be related to the type of platform used, but simply to the cultural differences between the inhabitants of the US and British islands."

We do not know yet what we have until we install our Islanders in the villa, but we are very happy to know it.

The host is in love and settled

An "off screen" difference between facilitators is that Arielle is badociated with a boyfriend and is "wonderfully happy" with him for years.

While Arielle has her colleague Matt Cutshall at her side, Caroline Flack has not been so lucky in love and is still looking for her partner in life, with angry commitment and attendance problems.

Race length

As this is the first season of Love Island USA, there is a bit of a step in the unknown and the length of the sleeve is proof of that.

The American version should be about a third of the length of the British version, at least until its popularity is proven.

Eilenberg said, "The British show has about 60 hours of content in the summer, not counting the extra activities, every night.

"Will we ever get to this place in the US I do not know.

"You look at other territories in the series and some of them are more like what we do, which is about 20 hours of content."

For the moment, it is not planned to bring Love Island USA on our screens, so capturing clips online or subscribing to Hulu may be the only way to get your solution.
