Michael Griffiths of Love Island was summoned following the Love Island finale, the fireman admitting that his bosses want to talk to him.

Michael would not have gone home to Liverpool since leaving the villa and would not have returned to work.

This morning, the 27-year-old told hosts Rochelle Humes and Ben Shephard that he had been summoned for meetings with his superiors.

"They just sent me a letter to come to work and talk to them," he said.

"I have to go to work and talk to them, it's open, so when I get back to Liverpool it will be my first stop.

In a live video on Instagram, now deleted, Michael had already announced that he was leaving his job to go to Mallorca for the summer and had expressed his fears of being suspended.

"I have to talk to work as well as I think, I will be suspended," he told his supporters.

"The rest is a conversation I must have with my boss."

Meanwhile, the Liverpool firefighter was a little embarrbaded when he was in a hurry to hear from his relationship with Joanna Chimonides.

"We talk almost every day," he said to La Rochelle. "We have not really had the opportunity to see what's going on."

"We are not together, no," he confirmed. "We did not really see what was going on there."

However, he maintained that he still has feelings for Joanna.

I have feelings for her, she has feelings for me, we just have not had the opportunity to express ourselves. "
