Natalie Portman Details Her Rigorous Workout Routine For Thor: Love and Thunder. Now in a profile of Vanity Fair, Portman opens up about returning to his role as an MCU. Since taking on the role of Mighty Thor, Portman has had to stick to a rigorous training and diet regimen for four months and throughout filming to portray the role of the superhero, a process that, according to her, was “really funny” and “very physical. ”Read what else Portman had to say about his workout routine below:

It was really fun. I worked with a trainer, Naomi Pendergast, for, I believe, four months before the shoot, and then obviously throughout the shoot. We did a lot of weight training and a lot of protein shakes, heavy weight training that I had never done before. Of course, I never really tried to get bulky. It was very physical, so it was a lot of agility work and also strength.

Portman certainly has a lot of experience directing action movies, as her acting debut and groundbreaking role returned in the 1994s. Leon: the professional in which she played the protege of the titular assassin, Mathilda. However, as Portman describes above, preparing for a superhero role requires completely different preparation, as the main focus is on building volume.

It’s good to know that Portman found the training fun, as it could definitely turn into a chore over several months. This process is still of interest to fans, as many stars are now documenting their training on social media. Portman hasn’t been as transparent as some of his other MCU co-stars like Captain marvelby Brie Larson and Ant-Man 3‘s Kathryn Newton, who recently shared workout posts on social media as they prepare for their roles. Hopefully all of Portman’s hard work pays off when Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in May 2022.
