Lucasfilm has just announced the Star Wars books that will lead to The Rise of Skywalker

the Star wars Franchise includes a wide range of non-film media: many books, comics and games fill unknown corners of the galaxy and have organized the world for future episodes. Lucasfilm has unveiled its list of publications that will lead to the next film, The rise of Skywalker, and it includes a novel that will bridge the gap between The last Jedi, written by the author Rebecca Roanhorse.

The new adult novel is Resistance is reborn, due out on November 12, just before The rise of Skywalker first in December. The simplest description says that she will follow generals Leia Organa, Poe Dameron, Finn and Rey as they "struggle to rebuild the Resistance after their defeat in the face of the First Order". Roanhorse, who won a nomination for Hugo and Nebula for his fantastic first novel Lightning trail, and a Nebula win for her new Welcome to your authentic Indian TM experience. His last book, Storm of locus, just hit the stores.

This is not the only book Lucasfilm will publish under the title "Travel in Star Wars: The Skywalker Uprising"Label. November will also bring Force collector, a YA novel written by Kevin Shinick, about a teenager who "seeks to discover the connection between his mysterious Force powers and the legendary Jedi, and what the Force holds for him." called Allegiance, on the survivors of the Resistance and Leia's efforts to "join his former allies, the Mon Calamari, whose shipyards once fed the rebel Alliance".

The list of publications will also include a number of children's books, picture books and cartoons, as well as non-fiction related works such as The art of Star Wars: The rise of Skywalker, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, and others. What is missing from all this is an official novelization of the film, although Lucasfilm has chosen to publish the novellisations for The last Jedi and Solo: A story of Star Wars months after the release of the movies.

These new books add to the already busy list of publications that Lucasfilm is overseeing this year. June will bring Alphabet Squadron of Alexander Freed, the first of a new trilogy on Starfighter pilots from New Republic, Timothy Zahn will release a new Thrawn novel in July, and Delilah S. Dawson's Black Spire The release is scheduled for September 3, 2019 and will join Disney's Galaxy's Edge theme park.
