Lucia Donlan, of Love Island, criticized the girls in the series as brutal brutes who almost drove her out of the public.

The surfer, 21, was deported this week, but now she has revealed that she almost walked when her relationship with the candidates broke out.

She says the girls finally changed their habits, but only after they were told that their antics looked bad on TV.

In an interview with The Sun Sunday, she explained, "I thought about quitting.

"It was a night when I was really upset, because the girls had instilled in Joe and I should not spend all this time with Tommy.

"He came to talk about it, but I was more upset by what they had done.

"After that, I did not really want to talk to them anymore because I could not trust them anymore …

"These girls are not like me, they love the theater, it was like being in a playground, I felt really alone and I did not know who I could talk to."

She then explained that the girls, including Amy, Amber and Anna, had changed their behavior after the arrival of the new Arabella Chi girl and explained to them how they were shown on television.

Lucie added: "She immediately told the other girls that she had seen what was happening between them and me – that they were all tied up against me.

"They denied it but they obviously realized that bad things were being broadcast on television.

"And they did not like, so they pulled back after that."
