Lazio striker Luis Alberto admits that Sevilla "represents the team of my heart", but insists that "does not mean that I will restrain myself".
Aged 26, he joined the ranks of the La Liga youth, appearing nine times for the senior team before moving on to something else.
Before returning to his former club in the last 32 games of the Europa League, the Spaniard claimed that he was focusing on Lazio's defense and on his help to move on to the next round.
"Sevilla represents the team of my heart, but that does not mean that I'm going to restrain myself," he said during the pre-game press conference.
"I think I can play, I hope to train as well as I can today.
"No matter what position I play in, the important thing is to do what is best for the team."
In the meantime, he also discussed the upcoming challenges for Lazio and is confident that they will be able to overcome them.
"All the goals we have before us are important," he added. "However, if we play as we did last month, nothing is impossible."
