Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has said he will not give his former Liverpool club a break when the two clubs meet in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals this week.
Suarez faces his former club for the first time since his departure from Anfield in the summer of 2014, but insists that he will only think of pushing Barcelona to a first Champions League final since 2015.
And Suarez, who has scored 176 times in 245 games with Barca, making him the third-leading scorer of all time, admits that even though he will still hold Liverpool in his heart, he will have no problem to stay in the goal them if the opportunity arises.
"I am very grateful to Liverpool and they have given me a lot," he told the Daily mail.
"But on the ground, there are no friendships.
"It's always nice to talk about these things, but it does not worry me when I'm on the pitch."
This statement seems to echo Jurgen Klopp, who insists that the reunion with his former players, Suarez and Philippe Coutinho, is anything but friendly.
Suarez, for his part, urged Coutinho to make his stay in Barcelona a success and says that he should not be tempted to return to the Premier League with Manchester United or Chelsea.
