Luka Jovic in Chelsea: what the Frankfurt star has planned for her future among transfer links

Luka Jovic has been one of the stories of the season so far and Chelsea will now be able to see the attacker from Eintracht Frankfurt up close.

The 21-year-old has been on fire this season with 17 goals in the Bundesliga and another eight in the Europa League, which has sparked the interest of many clubs across Europe.

One of these was Chelsea as their striker troubles continue, Gonzalo Higuain struggling to shoot, Alvaro Morata loaned to Atletico Madrid and Olivier Giroud's future still in the airs.

Chelsea has not really found a replacement for Diego Costa since his departure and many consider Jovic as potentially this man.

However, what does the future hold for him and where does he see his future?

football.londres understands that Jovic is happy to stay at Eintracht Frankfurt for at least another season if they join the Champions League next season.

Last month, Eintracht exercised a clause in Jović's contract to have his loan permanently transferred from Benfica until the summer of 2023, but that does not mean that he can not continue .

In addition to being in the semifinals of the Europa League, the Germans rank fourth in the Bundesliga standings with three games to play, which would guarantee them football in the Champions League next season.

The other problem, of course, is the impending transfer ban that Chelsea faces. The appeal procedure is still ongoing, it started on April 11 and the Blues have not yet understood their fate.

However, if Jovic commits for another season with Eintracht, this could be good news for the Blues. This will give them the opportunity to think of a signature next season, rather than rushing into another bad choice in the summer.

Tonight, however, the Blues hope that his slight fall in form will continue, the striker has not scored four goals in a row.
