Romelu Lukaku's move to Inter Milan would be threatened, as the Serie A club is in a desperate race to raise £ 40 million in order to comply with the rules of financial fair play.
The new boss of Inter, Antonio Conte, reportedly targeted the Manchester United before lead the attack on his team next season.
However, the Italian giants are not able to prepare a package to take the Belgian to San Siro if they do not have a huge amount of money before June 30th.
This is the date Inter must file its accounts to comply with FFP, and it currently lacks 40 million pounds, according to a report by The sun.
The newspaper adds that Inter is trying to quickly disperse some players, notably thanks to an exchange agreement between Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala, the Juventus striker.
Such a measure would remove Icardi's huge salaries from his books and would be in one single FFP-compliant gesture – although Dybala refused to be involved in any transaction whatsoever.
However, until that happens, they are not able to add Lukaku's transfer fee and salary of £ 130,000 per week to their balance sheets.
