I'm trying desperately to temper my expectations for Jordan PeeleThe new horror movie Webut it's getting harder and harder when everything is this bading cool. The trailers were killer, and now Peele, the writer / director of get out, revealed a new scary poster featuring a star Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther) that will haunt me for the rest of the day – not just because it's a disturbing poster, but because I'm going to spend the next few hours wondering what remake of John Woo Face / off would look like Nyong'o in one of the main roles. See what I mean by consulting the full poster below.

Man, it's such a beautiful poster. Observe the differences between the two faces: the "mask" has a slight smile, which indicates that the life we all lead may not be as happy as we seem; the terrifying and blind eye of the face below looks directly at your soul; and Lupita's left eye below is still looking through the mask, almost as if she were torn between two versions of herself and could not decide who to choose.
get out was overflowing with profound meaning, so it is not unreasonable to badume that We will have a level of complexity similar to this one. Peele explained how the film describes how "we are our worst enemy" and I look forward to seeing how it materializes this concept in this story of a family besieged by their doppelgängers.
Here is the official synopsis:
Located nowadays along the iconic coast of Northern California, We Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar winner, as Adelaide Wilson, a woman who returns home to the seaside with her husband, Gabe (Black PantherWinston Duke) and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex) for an idyllic summer getaway. Teenager haunted by an inexplicable and unresolved trauma of her past and compounded by a series of strange coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia rising to an extreme alert as she becomes more and more certain that something serious will soon arrive in his family. After a day on the beach with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy Elizabeth Award winner, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon and Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return home to discover the silhouettes of four characters standing in their alley .
