About 50,000 vehicles use the M6 toll every day, said Midland Expressway Limited
The cost of driving on the M6 toll will increase by 50 points per trip next month, his operator said.
The Midland Expressway Limited (MEL) has announced that a new pricing system would be put in place on July 12th.
Weekly travel costs between 07.00 and 19.00 will increase by 30p to 6.70 for cars, 50 to 11.80 for vans and 50 to 12 for trucks.
The Road Haulage Association (RHA) Association said that the decision was unlikely to encourage more people to use the road.
Discounts will be introduced for drivers who regularly ride the road, as well as a price outside of peak hours for defined weekday schedules.
The 27-mile road from Cannock in Staffordshire to Coleshill in Warwickshire was opened in 2003 at a cost of £ 900 million. The MEL said that it was used by about 50,000 vehicles each day.

The RAC Foundation stated that it seemed "unlikely" that a new rate outside of peak hours would divert traffic from the M6 motorway
A spokeswoman for the RHA said: "Any increase in toll rates is not welcome for the heavy heavy haul trade facing clean air pricing and reduced profit margins.
"Many operators have been pushed back to use the M6 toll for that very reason."
A new off-peak rate will be applied between 05:00 and 07:00 and between 19:00 and 23:00.
Currently, discounts are only available on weekdays between 23:00 and 06:00.
Steve Gooding, director of the RAC Foundation, said it seemed "unlikely" that the rate would do much to deter traffic from leaving the M6 of origin.
He added that a "better result" for drivers would be to integrate the road, at no cost, to the Highways England network.
MEL General Manager Andy Cliffe said: "We remain committed to increasing the volume of HGV traffic using M6 tolls rather than M6 or local roads, and we are ensuring that our incentives for new customers trucks and price offers for commercial operators are innovative and attractive. "
