The latest version of Mac OS X Lion introduces a method similar to iOS to remove applications installed through the Mac App Store. In the new Launchpad application, users can click and hold an app's icon – as in iOS – and an "X" button appears in the corner of each icon that users can click to uninstall apps .
Do not worry about accidental deletion of applications, though; Just like iOS, users will receive a message asking them if they are sure they want to delete the application. Click Remove to move the application and all the files badociated with it to the trash.
This feature currently works only with applications purchased on the Mac App Store, but I hope it will work with all the applications installed on your Mac when the Lion version is finally available.
