GUADALAJARA, Mexico: When Adriana Macias graduated law, she found that no firm was interested in recruiting an unarmed lawyer.
Thus, Macias, a 41-year-old Mexican born without them, began working as a writer, playwright, motivational speaker and now as a fashion designer who has just launched a new line of clothing.
She designed – as she does almost everything – with her feet.
She unveiled her first collection at Fashion Week Mexico last month, during which disabled models paraded the parade – or wheelchair ride – by presenting her fall-winter line of 12 fluid and colorful patterns designed for disabled people can easily put them. .

"I present this line of clothing with all these details designed to make clothing accessible, very comfortable, very practical, but also very formal.I wanted (the show) to be inclusive because inclusiveness is a very important issue", she said to me.
"People should not exist for clothes, clothes should exist for people."

Macias' parents taught him from birth to use his feet to do what other children did with their hands.
Today, she eats, drinks, writes, draws, cooks, cleans and even dresses her three-year-old daughter with her feet and legs.
Sitting cross-legged on her chair, she gestures with her feet when she speaks. Sometimes she puts her chin on her toes, which carries rings and nail polish, or uses them to brush her hair back.

She used prostheses up to the age of 20, but had to abandon them when her extra weight caused her shoulder problems.
"It was difficult to go to university without my dentures and take off my shoes in clbad to write. It's considered a bad way to take off your shoes, "she said with a smile and her usual lively determination.

Anyway, she flourished at the university, graduating in law, but was coldly welcomed into the professional world.
"Nobody wanted to hire me," she says.

It was at that time that she began writing – she published three books and a play – and also worked as a motivational speaker and, now, a designer.
