Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu Stadium could host the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between rivals River Plate and Boca Juniors, postponed by fan violence this weekend, Spanish media reported on Thursday.
"According to sources close to the negotiations, the agreement is 90% concluded and all parties hope to announce Thursday afternoon," said the daily El Pais.
The newspaper adds that the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and Real Madrid have given the green light to the event.
The clash in the return leg between the two clubs in Buenos Aires this weekend was postponed after Boca players were injured during the attack of their bus by River fans with pepper spray , stones and sticks.
South American football administrators Conmebol later said the match could not be played in Argentina, which led to intense speculation about where it would be played.
