Apple expands its application news service, "Apple News". The current news selected so far by an editorial team will be complemented by a magazine offer.
Apple customers will be able to access digital editions of more than 300 different magazines and newspapers, including prestigious titles such as The LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Times Magazine, People, New Yorkers or Sports Illustrated.
The offer is based on the Texture magazine service acquired by Apple and recalls the Readly available in Germany. Apple adds features such as interactive coverage and offers custom rendering and navigation features for iPhone and iPad. In addition, premium areas of various websites are offered.
Apple offers Apple News + at $ 9.99 a month. The offer only starts initially in the United States and Canada and is expected to follow later in the year in England. Other countries have not been mentioned yet.
