Mahama went on to say that victims of such crimes are often not brought to justice for the inconveniences suffered.

The former president adopted these comments during the recent funerary rites of Richard Bayiviala Polibong, president of the Daffiama Busie Issa constituency of the region of the Upper West Congress (CND), who recently pbaded away.

According to a report from Citinewsroom.com, unknown badailants killed Polibong while he was returning from a burial in his constituency.

YEN.com.gh understands that the police have not yet apprehended the perpetrators for several weeks after the incident.

According to Mahama, thieves are more daring than before and have terrorized citizens.

He therefore appealed to President Akufo-Addo and the government of the new Patriotic Party (NPP) to quickly address the security situation in the country.
