The 2020 National Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, kicks off his 16-region “Thank You Tour” program after Tuesday’s general election.
The former president said on his website that his tour was to “thank Ghanaians for their support and votes in the December 2020 elections.”
Mr. John Mahama will begin his tour from the Upper East regional capital, Bolgatanga, continuing to Walewale in the North East region before heading to Tamale in the North region.
He will later visit the Savannah and Upper West regions where he will interact with Chiefs and Queen Mothers, hold meetings with religious and opinion leaders, address regional and constituency leaders and supporters. of the NDC and will also interact with the media.
Mr. Mahama visits the Northeast region on August 18, the North region and the Savannah region on August 19 and 20, respectively.
The first phase of the tour is scheduled to end on Monday August 23 in the Upper West region.
The former president will be accompanied by some national cadres of the opposition party during his tour of the country.
