The self-proclaimed prophet made him known as part of an avalanche of prophecies during a sermon on New Year’s Eve.
Already, Apostle Opoku Nyina asks the prophets not to predict the winners of an impending election. That’s not all, he also wants the prophets to refrain from predicting the death of people.
According to him, such prophecies create tensions and retard the party’s growth. He made the remarks while delivering a Thanksgiving Sermon at the NPP Nations themed Thanksgiving Service, Ebenezer, How The Lord Has Helped Us.
“A true prophet must be neutral in knowledge and wisdom so that their prophecies do not cause panic. My call to our prophets is not to prophesy on why an election will die and lose. Our duty as prophets must be to direct the face of society to God, ”he said.
In response to him, Owusu Bempah said he would continue to prophesy despite the warning against such practice.
Ghana’s 2020 elections have been documented by many political scientists as the most controversial and bloodiest.
