Former President John Dramani Mahama will present Saturday a report on the state of peace and security in Africa at a high-level forum on security in Africa.

The eighth Tana Forum, held on the shores of Lake Tana in the Ethiopian city of Bahir Dar, focuses on the theme "Political Dynamics in the Horn of Africa: Feeding Emerging Peace Trends".

President Mahama is chairman of the board of the Tana Forum, replacing former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo in 2018.

The two-day forum will host a number of sessions and presentations, including a tribute to Winnie Madikizela-Mandela at the Meles Zenawi Leadership Conference.

The Tana High Level Forum on Security in Africa is an annual forum that brings together leaders from all sectors to work on a security agenda led by Africa.
