The new Patriotic Party (NPP) has declared that the badbadination of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) member in Kumasi yesterday was underpinned by the infamous boot of former President John Dramani Mahama.

According to the ruling party, the former president would be to blame for the current violence within the opposition party.

The NPP's communications director, Yaw Boabeng Asamoah, said this when he approached reporters at his party's asylum headquarters at his party in Accra.

He said the NPP condemned the killing of the NDC member during a shooting in Kumasi.

The shooting that occurred on Monday, February 18 at around 12 pm, left NDC member Wasihu Idrisu dead, according to the police report.

A staff team reportedly visited the crime scene and preliminary investigations revealed that today, around 9:30 am, NDC national officials, among others; the president of the party, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, the secretary general, Asiedu Nkatia, and the deputy. Secretary General Barbara Asamoah arrived at the party office to convene a meeting between party members to respond to various grievances voiced by party members.

The Ashanti Reg. Party leaders were also present.

In addition, it was revealed that prior to the start of the meeting, about twenty party thugs, known as "Hawks" and riding motorcycles, arrived at the party office and converged on the 39; pregnant.

The members of the second party are also known as the "working group" and about 15 members were also present in the compound, according to the police.

While the meeting was being held in the office, a confrontation broke out in the compound between members of both groups resulting from a long feud among them, said the Ashanti Regional Police Command. .

Police said that the suspect nicknamed "Warrior", a member of the "Hawks", attacked the late 34-year-old Wasihu Idrisu, shot him a gun and fired several shots at him.

Victim Abdul Rahman Issah, a member of the task force who tried to disarm the "warrior", was also hit several times. The suspect and his group quickly boarded their bikes and left.

Died Wasihu Idrisu was transported to the KATH hospital but was declared dead upon his arrival, according to the police.

Mr. Boabeng Asamoah said that when President Akufo-Addo condemned the shooting at Ayawaso West Wuogon, the former president had instead chosen to call for the "amicable".

He added that Mahama and the NDC had sought to deliberately inflict a sense of political violence in the country ahead of the 2020 elections.

He condemned the former president for peddling what he described as lies about the shooting incident in Ayawaso West Wuogon.

According to him, the nuclear power plant was completely different from the NDC.

While the NDC is violent, he said the NPP was concerned about its responsibility to the mbades and economic growth, adding that the NPP was the only pro-poor party.

He wondered why the CND, which doubted the credibility of the police to investigate the shooting of Ayawaso West Wuogon, has now trusted the police to investigate the murder of Kumasi.
