President Kenyatta attended the Nairobi State House Friday at the unveiling and inauguration of the newly-appointed Kenyan Defense Forces (KDF) commanders recently appointed by the Kenya Defense Council

Addressing Higher Military Command at the end of the swearing-in ceremony President Uhuru said that he was eager to work with the new appointees to strengthen the capabilities of Kenya Defense Forces.
"I take this opportunity to congratulate the new VCDF Gen Kibochi, you had a brilliant career in the army.I impart to you the skills and vast experience you have acquired in the world. Kenyan army in your new role serving the entire KDF, "he said.
The Head of State also expressed his pleasure at the rank of Commander in the Defense Forces.
"It is my pride and joy today to witness the unveiling of the first Kenyan woman as Major General in the history of our country. I count on you and count on you to be a positive role model for other women in this republic and show them and prove to them that there is no limit for Kenyan women and that everything is possible " , he said.
The President badured senior military officials of his support by saying that the government will continue to provide them with the resources to improve service delivery.
