Mame Yaa congratulates President Nana Addo for his free higher education initiative | Politics

Last week, at a UK education summit, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo revealed that the government plans to replicate the free high school policy at the top level.

According to the President, the subject of free higher education was discussed at the highest level because it is considered as a natural consequence of the broadening of the base of the SHS.

Mame Yaa Aboagye, contributing to the president’s laudable projects, applauded him and called his statement “a positive step in the right direction”.

According to her, President Akufo-Addo and the NPP government attached importance to the well-being of children and their right to education in the country, so such a decision deserved praise.

Mame Yaa urged Ghanaians to trust Nana Akufo-Addo’s vision “because he has done it already and can do it as promised”.

She also called on the NDC to applaud the president instead of trying to shed a negative light on his efforts to transform Ghana’s education system and free higher education policy.

“Give Akufo-Addo some credit for such an innovation plan before turning around and claiming ownership of the idea one day,” she said.
