The Portuguese media announced this week that Ruben Dias wanted to stay in Benfica for another year and Jornal de Notícias is talking about it today.

The newspaper indicates that the player does not feel ready to move to a new league and that Benfica does not want him to leave at all, he should stay where he is.

Speaking of the clubs that could sign it, Jornal de Notícias says that two of them have expressed interest: Manchester City and Manchester United.

And what keeps them from going to Dias is the price. The defender is protected by a release clause of 66 million euros. City and United estimates that this amount is too high.

The release clause of Ruben Dias could become even more important now, since Benfica is negotiating a new deal with him.

On his return from vacation, a contract with a release clause of 88 million euros was ready to be signed. But considering the interest of the other clubs, he thought deserve a bigger increase of salary, that is why it is necessary to negotiate again.
