Man City back on EPL; The Spurs win their first match in the new stadium

Manchester City is back at the top of the Premier League. Tottenham is finally back home – and wins again.

At a dominant evening for some of the biggest English football teams, City's imposed on Cardiff in imposing 2-0 to replace Liverpool in first place in a goalless title race. back that should go over. Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane scored.

The fight for the Champions League qualification behind them is equally fascinating and two of the contenders have won victories.

Tottenham scored the first senior match of its newly-built stadium by beating Crystal Palace 2-0, putting a five-game winning win in the league to a close, before climbing back to third behind Arsenal. His Heung-min scored the first goal in the stadium and Christian Eriksen added the second.

Chelsea are just one point behind the Spurs in fifth place after a 3-0 home win against Brighton. Eden Hazard scores and plays a leading role.

Only three points separate Tottenham and Manchester United, sixth.

The city leads Liverpool by one point with six games to play.
