Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy laughed as he claimed he had made an unauthorized trip to Hong Kong without the club's knowledge.
An article by the 24-year-old appeared on his Instagram story with a stamp bearing the inscription "Hong Kong International Airport", suggesting that the back of the city was in the Far East.
Pep Guardiola was stunned when he was informed of the message by a reporter at Friday's pre-match press conference.
