Man City vs Tottenham
UEFA Champions League
Quarter-final, second leg (total 0-1)
Location: Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Coup de l'envoi: 20h GMT, tonight
Heung-min Son's goal in the second half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 9, the Spurs are heading to Manchester tonight with a 1-0 lead before the second leg.
The confession of manager Mauricio Pochettino, after the victory last week, that Man City remains the favorite to win the Champions League, not just his draw, is representative of the task the Spurs face despite this advance ….
The Spurs striker suffered a ligament injury to the ankle in the first leg, which could exclude him from the rest of the season. The Spurs hope that Son – and maybe Lucas Moura – will lead their attack on Wednesday night.
Pep Guardiola, meanwhile, was clearly irritated by the defeat of his team in London and should bring back Kevin de Bruyne while City seeks to fill the deficit.
Highlights of the first leg
News from the team and planned line-ups
Fernandinho is in a race against the clock to get rid of the muscular injury that saw him miss the weekend win at Crystal Palace.
Guardiola said the Brazilian was injured in the first leg at Spurs, but the problem was simply "short-term". It is said that he has been training at "low intensity" these past few days.
Oleksandr Zinchenko should escape a hamstring problem, but most importantly, Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling are both fit and available.
Bernardo Silva's return to action is a welcome boost for City. The Portuguese international missed the first leg but returned to the game as a second-half substitute at Selhurst Park.
Meanwhile, the Spurs are sweating through the physical form of midfielder Dele Alli, while Harry Winks is definitely missing. The first could play with a cast to protect a broken hand in the first leg, while the latter was not playing against Huddersfield after having a groin problem at Friday's practice.
Victor Wanyama, having impressed in the victory over Huddersfield, should replace Winks.
His return will be after being virtually rested on the weekend, while Lucas, author of a hat trick Saturday, could support him in the attack.
Line-ups possible
Man City XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Stones, Laporte, Delph; Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Silva, Bernardo, Aguero, Sterling
Tottenham XI (4-1-2-1-2): Lloris; Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Wanyama; Sissoko, Eriksen; Alli; Lucas, son

Prediction score: Man City 2-0 Tottenham (after extra time), 2-1 in total
Tottenham's challenge was made even more difficult with Kane's injury, and although he may not have scored in the first-leg win, we will miss him and his pace.
The Spurs are going to test City on Lucas and Son's counterattack, but City should have enough to get the job done – although that's not surprising if it's over 90.
