A 35-year-old man attends the Doryumu District Police Headquarters to determine why he secretly buried his 3-year-old boy in a forest in Dodowa, Shai-Osudoku District, Accra.

The suspect, Joshua Osabutey, a lotto writer who allegedly committed the offense last Monday, is currently in custody.

He was charged with an interim charge of preventing the holding of an investigation, burying a person without an autopsy on the body.

The information collected by the DAILY GUIDE indicates that the suspect took the child to the mother's house but did not return the child until she discovered yesterday that the child had been killed and buried.

Confirming the incident, Superintendent Reuben Dugah, head of crimes at Dodowa Divisional Police Headquarters, told DAILY GUIDE by telephone that the suspect had been seen by an informant burying a human being in an unauthorized place.

The police, he explained, settled down and arrested the suspect, who confirmed that he had buried his deceased son in a hospital after a short illness.

However, the hospital, according to the head of the judicial police, denied the death of the boy in the institution, saying that the boy had been brought dead.

Superintendent Dugah said the police were taking steps to obtain a court order requesting the exhumation of the body to determine the real cause of the boy's death.

He nevertheless indicated that the suspect would be brought before a court while the investigation continued.

Meanwhile, Rose Narkitey, the mother of the deceased, who happens to be the suspect's ex-wife, told DAILY GUIDE that "the suspect came somewhere forcibly to the boy under the guise of". to be sent to a boarding school.

According to her, the suspect denied him every opportunity to see his son until news came to his attention that he had been killed by his father.
