Club Brugge and Alaves are leading the race to sign young Manchester United’s Facundo Pellistri on loan this month, according to reports.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed on Tuesday that the 19-year-old – who only joined the club in October – will be cleared on loan this month to give him more experience at a level superior.
The Uruguayan cost around £ 9million after arriving from Montevideo-based Penarol and impressed the Red Devils at the youth level, but now he is hoping for regular minutes in a competitive European league.
Man United youngster Facundo Pellistri could move to Brugge or Alaves on loan this month
Belgian side Brugge are favorites to land a deal with the winger until the end of the season, as Goal reports, with Alaves, another La Liga player keeping an eye out.
Pellistri has always been keen on moving to Spain, but Brugge attracts him more due to their need for a new right-winger, the report adds. The club have been in regular contact with him during the move and have promised him a key role in their starting XI.
While La Liga would pit him against some of the best talent in the world, Brugge are currently leading the Belgian elite and will play in the Europa League after being knocked out of the Champions League group stage.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said he was happy the Uruguayan was on loan in this window
He is unlikely to be part of United’s senior squad this season, with the team fighting at the top of the table for the Premier League crown.
Solskjaer said he was more than happy Pellistri was on a short-term loan, but pointed out that Amad Diallo – who partnered with the club this month after a £ 37million transfer of Atalanta – is in the frame to play his role this season.
“ There have been discussions and quite a few clubs interested in Facundo for a loan and maybe that’s something we’ll let him do. We want him to have top level football, ”Solskjaer said this week.
Amad Diallo will not be on loan with Solskjaer keen to make him part of his squad
“With Amad, it’s a different scenario. He’s had a good training schedule and a good schedule, he’s doing well and it won’t be long before I can get him into the squad.
Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard and Brandon Williams are also expected to be on loan in this transfer window, with the pair not currently in Solskjaer’s plans. Lingard is a target for West Ham United, who are trying to turn Said Benrahma’s loan into a permanent one to free up loan space.
United’s home club Sheffield United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night are trying to overtake rivals Man City and move up the table.
