Man Utd and Arsenal send scouts to watch defenseman Ben Godfrey, valued at £ 10m in Norwich

Manchester United and Arsenal will have scouts Sunday at the East-East Derby to evaluate Norwich defender Ben Godfrey.

United, Arsenal, Lyon and RB Leipzig follow all the hopes of Godfrey, valued at 10 million pounds, which played a key role in the progression of Norwich at the top of the championship.

The four clubs will have scouts at Carrow Road to govern Godfrey, which has attracted the interest of Europe's biggest clubs with his Norwich central defense demonstrations this season.

United is on the market for a central defender and sees Godfrey as a potential option, while Arsenal could also qualify for the 21-year-old while Unai Emery plans to reshuffle his rearguard.

Godfrey's progress during this period should be rewarded with a first call next month with under-21s in England. His boss, Aidy Boothroyd, observed him several times and decided that he was ready for the international scene.

Norwich has earned big fees for James Maddison, Alex Pritchard and twins Jacob and Josh Murphy in recent seasons, and could do the same for Godfrey, although the Canaries have no intention of getting him back.

Meanwhile, Phil Jones, who has signed a new long-term contract with United, is a defender who remains at Old Trafford.

The English international, which left Blackburn in 2011 for £ 18 million, has the option to extend its contract by an additional 12 months.
