Manchester United are ready to claim Juventus' Douglas Costa in any deal on Romelu Lukaku, according to a report.
Lukaku has been strongly linked to a visit to Serie A this summer and has not yet been introduced to United in the pre-season. Inter Milan seemed to be the main candidate it is now Juve who seems to be pushing the strongest.
According to some information, Juve would be delighted to send Paulo Dybala to Old Trafford as part of an exchange agreement. However, the Argentine international is about to refuse this decision because he wants to stay in Turin.
Now the Daily mail (via Sportsmole) states that United is interested in Douglas Costa signing the Italian champions instead of Dybala.
The Brazilian international has had a difficult season in 2018-2019 and could find it even harder to play playing time next season based on the plans of his new boss, Maurizio Sarri.
Despite this, the former Chelsea manager has publicly backed the player stating, "We have to start with talented players and Douglas Costa is one of them."
The 28-year-old is however a target for United, who wants to add a new right winger. Marcus Rashford should start playing under the command of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the next term.
Juve thought it could convince United to lower the price demanded by the French midfielder for 150 million pounds (188 million dollars). proposing to send Joao Cancelo, Costa and Blaise Matuidi to Old Trafford.
