Man Utd confident that the midfielder contract of 71 million pounds will be done in a few days

Manchester United hope to reach an agreement on the offensive midfielder Sporting CP, Bruno Fernandes, "in the coming week".

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should make important changes this summer United had a dismal end to the season as they only won two of their last two games.

With the departure of Ander Herrera on a free transfer and the persistent uncertainties about the future of Paul Pogba, the midfielder seems to be an area on which the Norwegian will tackle.

However, it seems that Fernandes seems most likely to head to Old Trafford, especially if we believe the latest reports.

Portuguese newspaper A bola, via SportWitness, states that United is "ahead" in the signing race of the 24-year-old and that the club plans to "make a firm proposal".

It is also indicated that an agreement could be "soon signed, even in the coming week".
