DANIEL JAMES will thrill the fans of Man United after his former school teacher remembered the electrifying rhythm that left him pursued by his opponents "like bees round like honey".
The coaches coined the phrase "hive football" to describe United's new £ 15m deal, while the winger ripped the South Hunsley School in Yorkshire at 13.

James's former physical education teacher, Matt Simpson, told SunSport: "Daniel played for our U11s and he distinguished himself from an early age because of his speed.
"I remember the East Riding County manager at the time called it" hive football, "because as soon as Danny got the ball, there were six or seven players behind him. They were like bees and honey trying to catch him.
The jersey that James wore when he scored his first goal for Wales, against Slovakia in March, is suspended in the halls of the South Hunsley School.
Simpson, a family friend from the same village, noted James' progressive progression during his teenage years.
But the 21-year-old has seen a rapid increase over the past two years, which has resulted in his significant transfer of money this summer from Swansea City to the Theater of Dreams.

Simpson, 45, said, "I heard about Danny for the first time because some of the fathers were talking about him at a young age.
"There's a place called Bull Field where kids play and Daniel, who was six at the time, was running rings around teenagers. He was already talking about the city. "
James was signed by Hull City at the age of nine and trained three times a week while he represented Wales to young people.
Simpson, 45, said, "We played in a local home school once after Daniel left with the under 14s of Wales for a full week of training camp.
"He was obviously very tired, so he started on the bench. He was 0-0 at halftime and Danny arrived. He picked up the ball on his so-called weaker foot and poked him in the top corner of the balloon about 30 yards away.

"Even some members of the team outside have started to applaud, it was also good. It was incredible.
"At the restart, we quickly recovered the ball and gave it to Danny. He goes down the right wing, turns three or four players, runs around the goalkeeper and hits for 2-0. We immediately rested.
With so much time spent on football, his school regularly sent homework to James.
Simpson said, "It would always be finished and returned on time.
"His feet have always been anchored. He was well educated and it shows in his studies.
"We had kids going into their GCSEs without writing a word because they thought their future was gold plated with a professional contract. Danny did not do that, he was a clerk.

This can be seen in his GCSE notes: A in PE, two Bs (Business and Double Science) and five C.
Simpson said, "Daniel's character obviously went through the family, his parents, Elaine and Kev, as well as his elder brother and sister.
"They are just a lovely family. That's why it was so difficult to understand that his father, Kev, died. "
James' father, Kevan, died suddenly last month at the age of 60, which delayed the move to United.
Simpson added, "It was horrible because her older sister, Hannah, is getting married this summer.

"He signed for one of the biggest clubs in the world and his father who goes by is horrible. They are a fantastic family. "
Kevan was following James's career closely, and they sometimes played cricket together for the South Cave Cricket Club.
James was in the junior ranks from 12 to 16 years before his move to Swansea ended his cricket career.
Coach Clive Bailey has remembered a particular game in which James had played, at the age of 14, when we had hit South Cave.
"There was a boy who hit the 4 and 6 as if it was nothing to him," said Bailey, 63.

"I remember telling Daniel that we needed someone on the border who could catch it. I sent it to the edge of the midwicket and said, "This whole area is yours, Daniel. Everything that goes on there, you take control.
"Finally, this kid skied one from the top. Daniel started running and he was always a badpet racer, but I thought he would never understand it, no matter how fast he was.
"But he arrived and took hold six inches off the ground after diving forward. I have to say it's the best shot I've ever seen in my cricket career, let alone a 14-year-old. "
Such talent could have seen James find himself at the other Old Trafford.
Bailey added, "If Daniel had taken a different route, I think he would have been a very good club player and would most likely have managed to make the county. We will never know it now. "
