Manchester United is in the process of preparing a new contract for Mason Greenwood that would allow the young star to receive a major salary increase.
The 17-year-old has been in an impressive form so far for United during the qualifying season, scoring both against Leeds United and Inter Milan.
He seems ready to play a bigger role in the first team in 2019-20, and the Red Devils would like to tie him to a new deal before his 18th birthday in October.
A report of The sun claims that Greenwood currently only earns £ 800 per week, although it boasts a good first team appearance bonus of around £ 5,000 per game.
He signed his first professional contract last October, but continues his development at United where he is since the age of six.
A source at Old Trafford apparently The sun: "He is not very active but he receives bonuses at each appearance.
"Ole wants him to focus on his football right now and he's doing a great job in this area."
Greenwood is ready to follow his team-mate Marcus Rashford, who has signed a new contract of £ 20,000 a week at 18, and is now at around £ 300,000 after signing a new contract earlier in July.
