A man over 50 was rushed to hospital after reports of an overdose in the hotel of the Manchester United team in Perth. , in Australia.
The Red Devils confirmed this morning that a member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's rearguard team had been treated after being ill during the night.
The man was surrounded by heavy security while he was taken to the hospital under a blanket covering him from head to toe.
The Australian newspaper 9News claims that he was taken by ambulance to the Royal Perth Hospital by Crown Towers, with information indicating that the man was in a "stable state".
The Royal Perth Hospital has not yet officially confirmed the condition of this man.
It is unclear whether the alleged human overdose results from an illegal substance, a prescription drug or a health problem.
A previously released club press release stated: "A member of our service team was taken ill all night and was sent to the hospital by our club doctor for further treatment.
"We ask that medical confidentiality be respected."
United will face Perth Glory tomorrow in their first game of the tour before facing Leeds' old foe in the same city on Wednesday.
Solskjaer and his team then travel to Singapore where they will face Inter Milan in eight days.
