Manchester United are about to make David De Gea the highest paid goalkeeper in the world after a breakthrough in negotiations to give the Spanish new deal.
De Gea should dedicate the best years of his career to United, after long negotiations – which have been going on for two years – about to end in recent days.
The Spanish international expected a deal on parity with the £ 450,000 Alexis Sanchez – but it seems that a compromise was found.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that United was about to sign a new contract with David de Gea at the first leg of the club's pre-season tour of Australia and the Far East.
