Coupon time: 12h French time

Manchester United preparations for the 2019-20 season kick off the Down Under as the Red Devils face Perth Glory in Australia.

United faces a tough test in their first preseason game. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men will face the champions of the A-League while Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James will get used to club life.

While Solskjaer faces a number of out-of-the-box problems – Paul Pogba's future at least – United fans will be able to at least indulge in drama as another long campaign begins.

Here's what you need to know …

Manchester United players meet fans after training on Australian tour

It remains to be seen whether Romelu Lukaku will play an important role in Inter Milan 's attempt to get the Belgian striker to sign.

Lukaku took part in a physical training session with Anthony Martial rather than participating in an open training session with the rest of the team at WACA on Thursday.

However, fans of United will no doubt see new recruits Daniel James and Wan-Bissaka come into action for the first time, while young players such as Tahith Chong, James Garner, Mason Greenwood, Angel Gomes, Joel Pereira and Axel Tuanzebe could all be present.

Forecast: Man Utd 2-1 Perth Glory

While many United fans are expecting a routine win against an Australian team, The Glory should allow a disbanded team from the Red Devils to actually train.

Tony Popovic's men are not about to return home and Any Keogh will hope to have a chance against a United defense that did not live up to the last term.

In pictures | Four players who could replace Paul Pogba at Man Utd

1/5 Who can fill Pogba's shoes?

While the World Cup winner confirms that he is looking for a "new challenge", James Robson sets the rule on Ed Woodward's choice for Manchester United …

2/5 Christian Eriksen

Tottenham's point guard plays almost every box and is a player United has been playing for a while.

Creator and scorer, he has proven himself in the Premier League and is the type of brand name to appease fans and investors.

With a year of contract, the Dane should leave the Spurs this summer, with Real among those who target him.
But if Pogba headed for the Bernabeu, United could be in pole position.

3/5 Philippe Coutinho

A name that has continued to be related to Old Trafford because of its problems in Barcelona.

United is one of the few clubs to give Barca a decent return on the £ 142 million he paid to Liverpool for him 18 months ago.

The fact that he is a former Liverpool player is another matter.

AFP / Getty Images

4/5 Bruno Fernandes

United is among the many clubs interested in the free midfielder Sporting Lisbon.

Although they have also been exploring other targets this summer, he may well indicate the goals they would lose from Pogba's departure.

AFP / Getty Images

5/5 James Maddison

One of the discoveries of last season, the English international under 21 is followed by United, Manchester City, Liverpool and the Spurs.

He ticks his place as an emerging national talent – and without Pogba, Solskjaer could offer him the first team football he wants.
