MANCHESTER UNITED plans to take action for Juventus defender Merih Demiral.
The Red Devils desperately need a central defender before the closure of the summer transfer window on August 8th.
But while they continue to sue Harry Maguire, they are not yet close to sealing a move for the Leicester defender, who has participated in the pre-season clash at Scunthorpe this week.
So now, we think they're looking elsewhere and, according to The Express, Demiral could be an option.
This is despite the Turkish international, 21, who has just signed a five-year contract with Juventus and Sbaduolo two weeks ago.
The old lady paid about 16 million pounds for the young player, who has already had five permanent clubs in his career.
Three of them have been this year.
He joined Alanyaspor for a permanent contract on January 29, and then on January 30, he was loaned to Sbaduolo with purchase obligation before joining Juventus now.
The report suggests that the Italian giants want at least 35 million pounds sterling for the young man, whose representatives have spoken with United and Atletico Madrid.
AC Milan is also interested but sees its approach blocked.
It is believed that Demiral's situation at Allianz stadium has changed thanks to the arrival of Matthijs de Ligt this week.
The defender, in high demand, signed a contract worth £ 67.5m with Ajax. Juve beat the European competition to get its signature.
