Manchester United reportedly stepped up efforts to sign Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they sought to continue negotiations for his signature.
The Englishman proved difficult to sign but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to reach his goal.
United has already had an offer of £ 40 million rejected and is preparing for a second attempt with a bid of £ 50 million.
However, it seems that the London club is not only trying to increase the asking price but is also looking for something else on the side of Solskjaer.
Supporters will certainly hope that this could end the saga surrounding Wan-Bissaka and that the club could have their man.
According to the Guardian, Palace would be interested in removing a clause from the sale of Wilfried Zaha's contract to facilitate the transfer of Aaron to the Red Devils.
It is perfectly logical for Crystal Palace to try such a thing, because the Ivorian should leave for a big sum this summer.
If that were the case, they would receive the entire income rather than having to lose part of it for Manchester United.
However, for Ole, it would be a double whammy to have to spend more money on Wan-Bissaka while running out of potentially decent fees, which might have allowed the youth to become more acceptable.
