Manifest will have an end, creator Jeff Rake confirms

AAlthough fans have already received the disappointing news of Manifest’s cancellation, the series creator Jeff rake confirmed he’s already sketching a film finale.

After releasing three seasons of the show, NBC decided not to continue producing more seasons despite the series being at the top of Netflix’s watch list.

What is Manifesto about?

The series tells the story of passengers on a flight of Jamaica who faced turbulence before landing in New York City. Before realizing that five years had passed since their departure.

Although presumed dead, some of the passengers are trying to reintegrate into society. Yet some of them experience bizarre voices and visions that can seemingly predict the future.

Why was season 4 canceled?

Despite the prosperity Netflix and Rake intending to do a six-season show, CNB has decided not to renew the series, as the reasons for their decision are currently unknown, as neither the channel nor Rake have publicly disclosed them.

“So all this hurts extremely” Rake said EW.

“I can’t take it personally. There are many, many factors at play. I understand that tough decisions have to be made.

“Instead, I want to channel all of my energy towards the future, towards the positive, towards a path that would allow us to finish the story.”

Are the fans going to have an end?

Rake doesn’t believe there is a platform that would be ready to fund three more seasons, but he’s not keen to abandon the project without giving fans an end. Therefore, he revealed that he would attempt to sketch a film finale to answer questions from fans since the series was canceled.

“I had giant cliffhangers in the Season 3 finale, so I had every intention of having three more seasons to slow down the back half of the story,” added Rake.

“I read the writing on the wall that we might not find a home for three more seasons of the show, so I went to Plan B: a certain platform would fund a feature film or a film finale, as we have seen with Timeless, firefly and dead wood.

“I just need a small budget to tell the story.”
