Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, let's go to Disney Marc Webb. The filmmaker is in talks to direct the next live adaptation of the "White Snow" studio.

Although the agreement is not finalized, sources say Variety Webb is the first choice to direct the film.

Screenwriter Erin Cressida Wilson of "The Girl on the Train" is negotiating to write the screenplay for "Snow White", which will develop the history and music of the lively 1938 clbadic. Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the duet behind "La La Land", "The Biggest Showman" and "Dear Evan Hansen", will write new songs for the film. Marc Platt is on board to produce.

The original drawing "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", based on the fairy tale of the Grimm brothers, was first published more than 80 years ago. It was Disney's first animated feature film and was a huge success for the studio.

There have been several adaptations of the clbadic tale over the years. Recent versions include "Mirror Mirror" of 2012 with Julia Roberts and Lily Collins and "Dark White," Universal's "Dark White and the Huntsman," starring Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart.

This year, Disney is restarting a number of clbadics including "Dumbo", "Aladdin" and "The Lion King".

Webb, well known for making The Amazing Spider-Man movies with Andrew Garfield, has also directed independent films such as Fox Searchlight's "Gifted" and "The Only Living Boy" in New York. He is replaced by CAA.
