Club legend Frank Lampard wants to bring a different philosophy to Chelsea after being named the club's new head coach.
The 41-year-old driver spent last season leading County Derby, where he guided them to the final of the play-offs, before taking up his duties at the club where he spent 13 years as a player .
Some Blues fans are not convinced by the concept of "Sarri-ball", they hope that the scorer of all time of the club will be able to offer something more effective.
His players will already begin to understand how Lampard wants the team to play with versatility, a key feature of the approach he has adopted in Derby.
Left-back Marcos Alonso revealed more information on the first few weeks under Lampard and on the boss's goals.
He said: "The first sessions went very well, I feel very good to play as the manager wants, with a high intensity, trying to keep the ball, moving it on one side to the other. And leaving the attacker free to attack.
"Of course, knowing that our main goal is to defend, but I am very happy with the way we work and look forward to the start of the season."
Alonso has played 120 times for Chelsea since arriving at Fiorentina in 2016 and is under contract until 2023.
