We used to see him as Luke Skywalker gold boy in Star Wars, but Mark Hamill's next role could not be further away from a Jedi Knight since he embodies the role of the murderous doll Chucky.
Yes, you read it well. The legend of the movie Mark Hamill is about to become the voice of the red-haired doll that kept you awake at night during the modern restart of the original slasher of 1988. It sounds like a strange casting shot, but we're really in the shot.
The actor announced his role as Chucky via a pre-recorded video aired during the Orion Group's presentation at Wondercon. The news was enthusiastically received when Hamill said, "If you're wondering who's going to play Chucky in the new Child's Play, you're watching him."
Hamill has a decent amount of vocal work in his locker, including his role as Batman, the villain The Joker, in the animated series of superheroes of 1992 and in the subsequent movie Batman: Mask Of The Phantasm. He also appears in some of the Batman video games.
You'll probably remember him thanks to his scary and chic English accent and his terrifying laugh – proof that Hamill has the gift of taking away the world's bloodthirsty toy for him.
Aubrey Plaza of Parks and Recreation is also participating in the remake. He plays Karen Barclay, the character played by Catherine Hicks in the original film. Brian Tyree Henry and Tim Matheson are also featured as cast members.
Recently, Plaza asked horror fans to buckle in anticipation of the restart, stating to the Hollywood Reporter, "For me, the original is an iconic movie. I did not see our movie, just the trailer, but it's a real horror movie.
'It's almost a Spielbergian atmosphere. The reason I did it was the beauty of the script. You do not feel like a hokey movie, shticky or campy. "

Hamill currently plays as Talus in Knightfall, a historical drama chronicling the disappearance of the medieval Knight Templar. As for the world of cinema, we will not do see the actor in any matter before he takes back his iconic role of Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode IX.
The next installment of J. J. Abrams' franchise song would be the last chapter of the Skywalker family saga, though fans will not have to prepare for a good-bye goodbye before the film's release in December.
Child's Play is expected for June 21st.
