West Ham was accused of barely attending the game against Everton on Saturday, losing 2-0 while in reality the score could have been much worse.

London stadium fans were not happy and their anger was directed mainly towards Marko Arnautovic, who was suspended in the second half.

West Ham only managed a shot and the fans escaped while Manuel Pellegrini eliminated the attacker. He reacted by retreating to the bench and throwing his bottle out of frustration.

His teammates and fans nearby have looked awkwardly at the Austrian's show of anger after his replacement by the young Grady Diangana.

This is not the first time that fans are booing Arnautovic. Earlier this month, while West Ham was 3-1 at Huddersfield, the crowd showed disgust at it after being subjugated. Everton won the game in stoppage time.

This also happened in Cardiff and Arnautovic 's performances on the field did not help his case with the fans.

Arnautovic lobbied for China on the transfer in January and was linked to a transfer to Shanghai SIPG, leaving fans skeptical of his loyalty to the club.

Arnautovic has scored seven goals in 23 appearances with the Hammers in the Premier League so far this season, but he has not scored in the league since Jan. 2 against Brighton.

West Ham was guilty of wasting the few chances he had had during Saturday's game against Everton, including a shot down Arnautovic while tensions between supporters and the 29-man player years continued to intensify.

After the match, Pellegrini insisted that "Arnautovic" had a knee ache, which was the reason for the replacement. He claimed that a minor injury had been exacerbated while he was on international service for Austria. However, fans can be slow to accept the excuse.
