One of Marvel's headlines released last weekend at Comic-Con International was undoubtedly Natalie Portman's return to the MCU for Thor: love and thunder.
And not only is the Oscars winner reunited with Chris Hemsworth, in addition to partnering with RagnarokTessa Thompson for the first time, she will also play "Thor's wife".
It's pretty easy to see why Portman reversed her infamous position that she was "finished" with Marvel once you've weighed all those exciting opportunities – but it turned out to be an extra opportunity she just could not let go of.

In a recent interview with CNNMarvel Studios director Kevin Feige explained Portman's rallying process to the franchise and revealed that it was a chance to work with director Taika Waititi who sealed the deal.
"I think when [Waititi] agreed to come back and do another Thorhe was like, 'How can we -?' It's a very great movie that will incorporate a lot of elements, "Feige explained.

"It's a very important part of that, he introduced us and we were totally in the game, we loved it, we had contact with Natalie, she's part of the MCU family and we We put together, Taika, took a meeting and she agreed to do it.
So, by proxy, we must thank Korg's rocky boyfriend, Korg, for returning Natalie Portman to the MCU – since Waititi played Kronan's gladiator, in addition to the leadership.
Thor: love and thunder arrives in cinemas on November 5, 2021.
